Object history also imparts a country’s culture

A digital mapping archive of the statues of influential people of India

About the Archive

This digital mapping archive has been formed as a student-run project for an undergraduate course in Digital Humanities at FLAME University, Pune. The aim of the project is to build a map of the statues of influential people in India and to analyze what these statues entail based on who it symbolizes, where and when it has been made, by whom, why, and how many statues of the same person have been made throughout the country.
